My Story in Brief

This is a blog about my adventures in the second half of my life. (I’m being overly optimistic, I know ;)  No more getting up at 5 am.  I get to enjoy my coffee as long as I want in the mornings.  I get to sleep until I wake up.  It’s glorious.

Six years ago, I happily ended a career in electric power production.  I was a Nuclear Reactor Operator of some type for 32 years.  Everything I did was so technical.  My field was almost all male, so I got to experience the good and the bad of being different.

I also raised two children as mostly a single parent as well.

Now it’s “me” time.  Exploring things I never had the time or energy to before.  Spirituality.  Actual hobbies.  What it really is to be “me”.

And I love it!
